 <![CDATA[The committee that has designed the new Ladder 64 got their first look at the progress that has been made on it at the Spartan ERV plant in Ephrata, PA today.&nbsp; The chassis of the truck arrived there after leaving the Spartan plant in Michigan and is now being prepared for the installation of the 103' aerial ladder.&nbsp; As you can see in these pictures that much progress has bee made, and Spartan anticipates the ladder installed on the truck and ready to leave Ephrata on May 10th.&nbsp; More information to follow.........]]>

 <![CDATA[Tonight firefighters from Companies 64, 79, and 69 were dispatched to 113 South 5th Ave for a reported kitchen fire.&nbsp; We arrived to find that the occupant of the home had extinguished the fire before we arrived, possibly saving the structure from severe damage.&nbsp; We confirmed the fire was out and ventilated the home and both attached dwellings.&nbsp;&nbsp;A few hours later we were&nbsp;dispatched to a structure fire on Fern Ave in Kenhorst Borough.&nbsp;&nbsp;We assisted Company 69 with overhaul and ventilation at the scene and returned to the Borough shortly&nbsp;before midnight.&nbsp; &nbsp;...]]>

 <![CDATA[Early in the morning hours&nbsp;Friday we responded to a single car MVA at 8th and Penn Ave reported to be with possible ejection.&nbsp; We arrived to find that the driver of the vehicle had exited the vehicle prior to arrival of Police units and fire, but was not ejected.&nbsp; We applied oil dry to fluids that were down and awaited the tow company.&nbsp; Fire Police also closed down Penn Ave eastbound for approximately 1/2 hour.&nbsp;...]]>

 <![CDATA[Company 64 and Rescue 85&nbsp;were dispatched to a one vehicle accident reported to be with&nbsp;two occupants trapped&nbsp;across from the 5th Avenue entrance to the Reading Hospital.&nbsp; While en-route to the call we were told that one&nbsp;of the patients had already been removed from the vehicle.&nbsp; Chief 64 arrived and confirmed&nbsp;one&nbsp;patient trapped in&nbsp;the vehicle.&nbsp; Rescue 64 arrived on&nbsp;location first and stabilized the vehicle and assisted EMS with removal of the patient with assistance from Company 85.&nbsp;&nbsp;We awaited&nbsp;the tow company to remove the vehicle and&nbsp;we assisted with clean-up of the scene.&nbsp; Thanks to&nbsp;Company 85's fire police for traffic control at the scene while we operated.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;...]]>
