Features visible on the west side, left to right:
1: Cover of main entrance area, which is on the north side of
the building.
2: From the inside, this is the hose drying tower and
high-angle rescue training area. From the outside, it's a clock tower
with a fully functioning clock (on the north and west sides), which
is dimly backlit to be visible at night.
3: An auxiliary personnel door.
4: The apparatus bay doors. The WRFD has had three trucks
since 1981, and we've discovered that the "truck-engine-squad"
combination works well to serve the emergency needs of the Borough.
We don't anticipate that the Borough will ever need more than three
fire trucks, so the building was designed with three bays. Each truck
having its own bay means that any or all of the trucks can get out
without having to move another one. If only one vehicle is needed,
only one vehicle needs to leave the station.
